Student Scholarship Project is one of our most ambitious charitable project. There are many students from poor families who cannot afford the cost of high school education and they are denied of the basic education, thereby their chance of any college level education. We have partnered with Umiya Parivar in India to administer this important undertaking. Woking closely with Umiya Parivar we have established a fair, unbiased system to identify these students from various institutions. For $250 per year you can support a student for the whole year. In the first year (2006-2007 school year) of this project we have identified and distributed scholarships to 635 students in 24 different institutions. For the school year 2007-2008 we are aiming at supporing 1,000 students. In future we hope to provide assistnace to 2,000-3,000 students per year. We call on all the members to join hands for this projcet and success of this depends on your generous donations. Please contact Jaman Kothadia @ jkothadia@yahoo.com for details about scholarship project.

Education Fund is intended to support various educational institutions for new projects or maintainance of current projects. Establishing a self sufficient educational complex in Sidsar is on of the largest educational project currently underway. This complex will house 1,400 students when completed. Your generous donations in 2005-2006 has totalled to $210,698.00. Contact Kiran Ghodasara kghodasara@msn.com for details.

Health promotion activity has been a core part of our charitable activity. Many of our membes has been active participants in free medical camp held annually in Upleta. The members have provided monetary support and some has been providing their expert services to local community there. This year the camp will be held from December 28th 2007 to January 6th 2008. If any of you like to be of help in this camp, please contact Bhanji Kundaria @ bdkundaria@yahoo.com. In addition we are planning to undertake many other health awareness programs, smoking cessation, tobacco cessation and other addiction programs. We have also sent funds to non-profit trust hospital in India.

Water is a very special commodity mainly in Saurashtra. Chiman Delvadia has working tirelessly for many years with help of many other here and NGO's in India to design, build and maintain small check dams to preserve rain water. This has changed lives of many small farmers who now with help of irrigation and improved underground water are able to take 2-3 crops evary year. Please read complete information about Saurashtra Check Dam Project here. Also, we are activley involved and promoting Rain Water Harvesting for Drinking Use. Please contact Chiman Delavdia @ nddelwad@yahoo.com for more information.

Next challange is to have safe & clean potable drinking water. Diarrhoeal illness and other waterborne diseases is a major cause of death mainly in children and elderly. In addition these illnesses puts significant burden to our health care spending. We are planning to underake activity which will ensue clean and safe drinking water to as many people as possible. If you like to get more information or like to get involved in his project, please contact Bhanji Kundaria @
bdkundaria@yahoo.com.

On Social front, we are trying to develop activities to abolish child labor, unfair treatment of women and promote open and tolerant community. To get involved in this front please contact Jayant Dadhania @ jpdadhania@pol.net.

The KPSNA executive commitee takes pride in administering these charitable activities and we all take this resposibility seriously.
